Identification Inspection of Goods

According to Pоint 2 of Article 266 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, prior to submitting a customs declaration a declarant has the right, on permission of a Customs Authority, to perform physical inspection of goods in order to check their compliance with their description (information) provided in available transportation documents, and to take probes and samples of goods.

Identification inspection is a set of actions which a declarant carries out in order to identify information about goods and other articles, to make conclusions about the country of their origin, classification in accordance with the UCC FEA, quantitative and qualitative specifications as well as to identify them univalently, etc.
